My name is Tim Flath and I am the owner-operator, web master and Disk Jockey (DJ)/Video Jockey (VJ) for Copper Collar DJ & VJ Services here in Victoria, BC

​I love all types of music and know the hits and the classics. I also understand the importance of playing to the crowd. Playing music the people want to hear. Playing music that will make them want to dance all night long. Leaving them with fond memories of a great night of dancing and having a wonderful time.

The actual name of the small business (Copper Collar DJ & VJ Services)  is derived from my 22 years of experience in the Royal Canadian Navy as a "Diving Officer" and Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist. Before joining the Navy I worked in the Audio industry for 5 years both overseas (in Germany) and here in Canada.  I am technically adept and have kept up with the home and professional audio industry since then and have done many gigs on the side  for friends and acquaintances - mostly weddings and Corporate Parties (i.e. Company Christmas Parties, Retirements and Social Gatherings).

In recent years I have DJ'd many events through word of mouth and a local professional DJ outfit as I am still employed full time at CFB Esquimalt in Dockyard (second career).  I simply enjoy providing entertainment in the form of playing recorded music/videos through my professional DJ/VJ system as a paid hobby with no aspirations to be so busy that I would be doing this service day in and day out. Consequently, while I am not inclined to DJ/VJ on a full-time basis I rather pick and choose my events to help those in need and will go all out to satisfy the needs of the client by going the extra mile and adding a more personal yet professional touch to their special occasions - all at an extremely affordable price.
